Noranda Alumina Supplies Cemtech

David D'Addario is an accomplished senior business executive with three decades of leadership experience in the metals industry. More than two decades of that, David D'Addario has served as the chairman and chief executive officer of New Day Aluminum LLC and its Noranda Alumina and Noranda Bauxite subsidiaries.

In 2020, New Day Aluminium Holdings LLC executed a letter of intent through its subsidiary Noranda Alumina, with Cement Materials Corporation. The agreement entails Noranda Alumina supplying 60,000 tonnes of bauxite residue for cement production. An aluminum-rich ore, bauxite is an efficient raw material in chemical and cement industries. This is preceded by an approval from the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) for the use of bauxite residue in the cement industry.

The Chairman and CEO of New Day Aluminium Holdings, David D'Addario, stated that the corporation is committed to the enhancement of the sustainability of the business while simultaneously mitigating the environmental footprints of industrial processes. He also stated that the agreement and recent approval from the LDEQ are parts of their endeavor to achieve the aforementioned objectives.
